The EK 7 can be used as an additional filter to reduce limescale in the Aqua-Avanti inline filtration system before the filtration stage. The ion exchange resin flowing through it reduces water hardness. The descaling inline descaling cartridge improves the taste of cold and hot beverages (especially to enhance the aroma of coffee and tea) and protects household appliances from calcification.

The water flow should not exceed about 2 l/min. to ensure noticeable descaling. The possible service life depends on the hardness of the supplied water. Depending on the hardness of the untreated water, up to 1,900 l (hardness level 5-10 dh) or 450 l (hardness level 11-25 dh) can be achieved as a service volume. The cartridge should be replaced when limescale symptoms such as tea skin, loss of aroma in tea/coffee or limescale deposits on surfaces reappear.

This expansion kit comes with a housing for the filter cartridge and a piece of tubing to be mounted in an Aqua Avanti inline system.
