Faucets for water filters
Would you like to install a water filter under the sink? If so, you can choose either a three-way faucet, which replaces your current kitchen faucet, or a separate faucet for filtered water next to your existing faucet. There are also options available if you have a Quooker.

What kind of faucet do I need for my water filter?
With an under-sink water filter, the filtered water is routed to the faucet through a separate connection. You can usually choose from two options for this.
Three-way valve
A three-way faucet replaces your current kitchen faucet. You can then use the same faucet to draw:
- hot tap water
- cold tap water
- filtered water
The filtered water flows through a separate pipe inside the faucet and has a separate spout. This keeps it separate from the regular hot and cold tap water.
The WS-7 three-way faucet from Tradeline has three separate connections for hot, cold, and filtered water. The faucet replaces your current faucet.
Separate faucet for filtered water
You can also choose to keep your existing kitchen faucet and install a separate faucet for the filtered water.
For example, the Carbonit WS-8P was designed for systems where the water pressure is lower after the filter. This faucet allows you to draw only water that has passed through the water filter.
This solution does, however, require a separate opening in the countertop or sink.
Connecting a Water Filter to a Quooker
Do you have a Quooker and want to filter the water before it reaches the Quooker? All of our under-sink systems can be connected to a Quooker.
Can I install a faucet for my water filter myself?
If you have experience connecting faucets and water lines, you can install many systems yourself. How easy this is varies depending on the water filter and the faucet.
For example, if you have a separate faucet, you'll need to cut an extra hole in the countertop or sink. A three-way faucet, on the other hand, is installed in place of the existing kitchen faucet.
Before installation, always review the included instructions and shut off the water supply before you begin. If you want to be sure that the faucet and water filter are connected correctly, you can have a plumber perform the installation.
