Filters through the latest technology in water filtration.
The moment the filter is pushed through the contaminated water, a process of electrolysis and ion exchange takes place. At submicron level, this filters out pathogens including viruses, bacteria and protozoa from the water. Several layers of activated ultrafine carbon powder provide a very large surface area that removes small particles and toxins (chemicals and heavy metals). Silver-coated zeolite provides an antibacterial action that keeps the filter cartridge free of bacterial growth between uses.
of all viruses (rotavirus, norovirus, hepatitis A)
of all bacteria (e-coli, salmonella, cholera)
of all protozoa (giardia, cryptosporidium)
chemicals (chlorine, benzene)
heavy metals (lead, arsenic)

*If you also use the Grayl as a drinking bottle you will leave bacteria behind while drinking. Be sure to clean the bottle regularly to avoid unpleasant odors from these bacteria.
Been using this Grayl filter bottle for a while now.
There is some difference in the taste, I don't live in an area with heavy industry, which also makes a difference, I think.
The taste, I mainly experience as 'softer'.
Use the filtered water for cooking, making tea, and for travel.
Am extremely happy with the travel filter bottle.
The bottle is nice and handy (I have small hands).
The system indicates by itself that the filter is full, because then it takes a very long time to filter the water,
which is a good indication to start using a new filter.
So happy, that I also bought its bigger brother, or was it sister 😉!
Then again, that bottle is a challenge for me because it is significantly larger, larger diameter.
